I am an Associate Professor in Finance at EHL Hospitality Business School with primary teaching responsibilities in Corporate Finance and M&A. The continuous improvement and perfection of my teaching techniques and competences have been helped by taking part in multiple pedagogical courses. Student evaluations demonstrate a consistently high rating of effectiveness and a commitment to excellence and professional growth.
My research activity focuses on three broad categories: (1) wine economics, (2) family-owned businesses, (3) corporate finance policies. I have published journal articles in top peer-reviewed journals, book chapters and have presented at numerous conferences. This is complemented by a rich pipeline of projects in the above-mentioned fields. The publications, work in progress, presentations and the award as researcher of the year show my ability to develop and implement a viable and relevant research agenda.
I also engage in a wide range of activities related to institutional visibility. I organise workshops for academics and practitioners and invite well-known guest speakers to EHL. This allows me to build a large network of contacts in academia and the industry. This is complemented by lectures given at multiple national and international universities, the production of industry reports, and newspaper articles in world-renowned national and international media outlets. Finally, I am a member of scientific committees of workshops and associations, am a founding member of the Alliance for Research on Hospitality and Wine Management and actively participate in varied events related to research activities.
I consider the work I do to represent my best and passionate efforts, I also consider and strive for it to be important work. I take my position and its responsibilities very seriously and strive to find ways to interconnect my teaching, research, and institutional visibility to create a body of work that has meaning and longevity.
